Key Stage 2 Teacher & Head of English
Kew College Prep is a thriving and forward-thinking UK Independent Prep and Pre-Prep school. We are seeking an exceptional Key Stage 2 Teacher with the vision, expertise and passion to also serve as Head of English. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an outstanding practitioner to shape teaching and learning across the school while nurturing curiosity and confidence in our pupils.

We are looking for a candidate who will elevate literacy, ignite a love of reading and writing, and champion excellent teaching throughout the School.
The Role
As Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will:
• Teach an enthusiastic KS2 class, delivering high-quality, imaginative and inclusive lessons
• Foster a nurturing, purposeful environment where children thrive academically and personally
• Contribute fully to the wider life of the school, including clubs, trips and enrichment
As Head of English, you will:
• Lead the strategic development of English from Years 3–6
• Support and coach colleagues to deliver outstanding literacy provision
• Oversee curriculum design, assessment and progress tracking
• Promote a vibrant reading culture across the school, working closely with the Library and pastoral teams
• Organise English events, competitions and enrichment opportunities
About You
We are looking for an inspiring teacher who brings energy, expertise and a creative spark to the classroom. You may already have leadership experience—or you may be an ambitious, high-performing teacher ready for the next step.
We are looking for someone who:
- Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and deep subject knowledge
- Has supported pupils through the 11+ exam journey
- Has a genuine love of children and a commitment to their holistic development
- Communicates confidently with pupils, colleagues and parents
- Is organised, reflective and eager to innovate
- Is excited by Prep School life and willing to contribute beyond the classroom
