Bursar and Clerk to the Governors

Kew College Prep is looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Bursar & Clerk to the Governors, to join our successful and vibrant school. We are a small and supportive school with a community feel and an active parent population. The school is co-educational for children from Nursery to Year 6. We are a split site in the heart of Kew, South West London and have invested significantly in our premises to ensure that we have pleasant, safe and varied facilities for our children. The school has a welcoming and collaborative ethos and has a highly engaged and committed staff community, who ensure that the children’s needs are always the priority.

The Bursar & Clerk to the Governors will report primarily to the Head and also to the Chair of Governors. The role forms part of the senior leadership team and will contribute to the school’s strategy development, as well as being involved and contributing towards the day-to-day operational functions.

The role will manage the financial and business affairs of the school, compliance, human resources, support functions and lead the school’s support staff.

The salary will be reflective of qualifications and experience, with potential candidates:

  • being educated to degree level or equivalent
  • holding a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • having experience of administration management and people leadership

Receptionist & Registrar’s Assistant

We are seeking a dynamic, friendly, and highly organised individual to join our team as a School Receptionist and Registrar’s Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with a variety of people, has a keen eye for detail, and is passionate about supporting both current and prospective students and their families

As the School Receptionist and Registrar’s Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff, delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, you will manage and oversee the pupil registration and admissions process, maintaining accurate records. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and families, and will contribute to the smooth running of the school’s administrative operations.

As the School Receptionist and Registrar’s Assistant, experience of working within a similar school role would be advantageous.

This is a varied, permanent role, working on a part time, term time basis (38 weeks per annum). The working week will comprise of a full day on Monday (7.30am – 4.00pm) and 3-4 half days during the week.
