We believe that good nutrition is the cornerstone for your child’s healthy development, both in mind and body. Currently, parents either send in packed lunch for their child or have a hot lunch delivered to the school by our catering company, Lunch Munch 4 Kidz. We ask that snacks from home are provided each day and remind parents that Kew College Prep is a nut free school. A new lunchtime experience at Kew College Prep, starting September 2026
From September 2026, Kew College Prep is delighted to introduce Accent Catering as our new school lunch provider, offering freshly cooked meals made on-site for all pupils from Nursery to Year 6.
This exciting development forms part of a wider investment in our school environment, including a brand new, purpose‑built kitchen and dining room, currently under construction and opening in September 2026. These new facilities will provide a welcoming, sociable space where children enjoy meals together as an integral part of the school day.
Accent Catering shares our belief that mealtimes should be enjoyable, relaxed and nourishing. Their approach focuses on creating food children genuinely love, while reassuring parents that meals are nutritious, safely prepared and thoughtfully planned.
Menus are carefully designed to balance familiar favourites with opportunities to try new dishes, all introduced in an encouraging and supportive environment. All meals will use fresh ingredients, with a strong focus on quality and sustainability. Accent chefs never use packet mixes or ready‑made sauces, ensuring meals are both nutritious and full of flavour.
Desserts are thoughtfully balanced, with reduced sugar and an emphasis on natural sweetness. Ingredients such as berries and seasonal fruits are used to enhance flavour while keeping added sugars to a minimum.
Menus are approved by a qualified nutritionist to support children’s wellbeing, energy and learning. Accent Catering also works in partnership with the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, ensuring children with food allergies and special dietary requirements are supported safely and confidently at every mealtime.
With inspiring menus, food education and special themed events throughout the year, Accent Catering will help make lunchtime an enjoyable and enriching part of every child’s experience at Kew College Prep.
