We’ve been reviewed!
Posted: 8th September 2025

At the end of last term, we were visited by an editor from the Muddy Stilettos Best Schools Guide who toured the school and met with Mrs Bond. Since this visit, we have been included in the Best Schools Guide, with a glowing review which highlights our outstanding 11+ results, excellent facilities, wonderfully warm Kew College Prep community and our highly competitive fees. We are delighted to be able to share the review with you here.
We have selected a few quotes below but thoroughly encourage you to read the full review for a great overview of our school:
On pastoral care:
“Spend any time at Kew College Prep and it becomes clear this is a happy, caring school. Small class sizes (on average 16 per class) mean pupils know their teachers well and receive the attention and support they need to thrive.”
On academics:
“The results speak for themselves, with the school known locally for its pupils consistently achieving places at a range of excellent senior schools. In 2024-2025, they had a 100 per cent success rate for pupils getting into Hampton and St Paul’s Boys schools, while 97 per cent of pupils received offers from two of more of their chosen schools and a further 70 per cent were awarded offers from four or more schools. It’s also worth noting that 38 scholarships were handed to Kew College Prep pupils, including 19 academic and 16 across sport, music, dance, art and drama.”
On Nursery:
“A bespoke programme was brought in during the last academic year focusing on things like writing, phonics, maths and reading which has been a roaring success. There are also twice-weekly forest school-style outdoor play sessions in Kew”
On our facilities:
“Spread across two former Victorian residences which have been significantly extended over the years, the Tardis-like interior housing a nursery, Infant School and Junior School is bright, spacious and welcoming”
“Even the most reluctant reader can’t help but be seduced by Kew College Prep’s upper floor library, a haven of ergonomic curved shelves, cosy reading spaces and colourful stripy seats.”
On trips:
“…all the school’s trips are pretty impressive – whether it’s a visit to the Science Museum or a trip to an Escape Room for problem solving to complement the Maths’ curriculum, it makes good use of its London location when it comes to stimulating and memorable learning experiences.”
On sport:
“Kew College Prep has undoubtedly got it going on when it comes to sport, including a National Champion at the ISA National Cross Country Championship and another champ and bronze medallist at the ISA National Swimming Finals. Impressive stuff for a small London Prep”
On fees:
“Extremely competitive for West London: Nursery (half day) £3,145 per term; Nursery (full day), £5,580 and Reception to Year 6, £6,696, inclusive of VAT. ”
Their verdict:
“A happy, thriving school achieving outstanding academic results, complemented by a vibrant arts and sports curriculum. Consequently, pupils leave confident and accomplished and attract offers from weighty senior schools. The facilities are great, architecture creative and staff fun and friendly – what more could you ask for?”
