A bottle perfume was sent to Space by one of our Dads!

The Infant House were delighted to have a wonderful assembly by Evren’s (Reception Blue) dad, Mr Grey. Mr Grey spoke about his career in the aerospace industry and told the children all about how he sends items to space. Recently, he sent a bottle of perfume up to space in a rocket! The children learnt that rockets are powered by rocket fuel and oxygen and how they return to land using their inbuilt parachutes. Mr Grey explained how satellites the size of shoe boxes are used to send items to space. The children were full of excellent questions and enjoyed sharing their fantastic knowledge of all things space with Mr Grey.
