A lovely way to end a wet week: with some sparkle and charity cheer!

PERMM (Priya, Eve, Rosie, Maddie and Marisa) used their initiative to plan another independent event after school. This group of young business-minded Year 4’s decided to host a cake, bake, and jewellery sale for their charity of choice: Cancer Research UK

This is the youngest group in the school to have organised a pupil-led event, and they should be proud of themselves for taking the steps to ensure this was a roaring success!

Despite the rain, the group persevered by selling everything they could think of- cakes, cookies, sweets, bracelets, loom bands, and any other bits of second-hand bling that were lying around at home. It was wonderful to see so many once-loved bits of jewellery going to a new home. The group did incredibly well to facilitate this event,  and it was lovely to witness them hosting this with such enthusiasm, positivity, and lovely big smiles throughout!

I would like to thank the Year 4 team who supported the smooth running of this event: Miss Lavos, Mr Gillespie and Miss Childs, and the amazing support from these groups of children’s parents.
