Year 5 Tower Bridge Trip

In science, Year 5 have been learning about forces and how they interact with us in our everyday lives. Visiting Tower Bridge, in London, was the perfect opportunity to explore forces more and see them in action. The children thoroughly enjoyed heading on the tube to start our adventure and the day consisted of a guided tour around the historical engine room, beautiful sights across London from the walkway above the bridge along with testing our nerves on the glass floor and finally a chance to construct our own bridges applying our knowledge from the day. I know the children had a great day out and demonstrated knowledge when we were asked a range of challenging questions!
