Year 5 were lucky enough to spend three days and two nights camping at Hooke Court, Dorset. For many of the children, this was their first great outdoors adventure and they all made the most of every opportunity and had fun. The trip started with some fantastic shelter building and continued with team-building tasks in the evening.

The next day transported us to Ancient Greece where they cooked, painted, wove and even fought using traditional methods. The highlight however was tasting the delicious creations and listening to Greek myths around the campfire. The final day was a step back into the modern world and rocket building. They constructed rockets as a team and fired them into the air, all of them achieving fantastic heights.

The Year 5s were praised by all the staff for their excellent knowledge of the Greeks and their exceptional manners. We are very proud of them and look forward to our next trip with them. Well done Year 5!
